On Choosing to See

I cried my way through this book, beginning at the prologue written by Beth Moore to its final chapter.

This was an "easy read", but I say that cautiously. While Choosing to See was a page turner, the reader is cognizant that the pages in their hands bear Mary Beth's personal pain. There's something hallowed in these pages. After all, it's a journey of struggle and hope.
Mary Beth invites us on her personal journey - one that I'm sure was not easy to share. Sharing her full story - not just the parts that are neat and tidy, took tremendous courage. But even in the midst of her deepest pain, Mary Beth is able to point us to her hope.
This beautiful book reminds us that no one is immune from heart break, hardship or even disappointment, but this book also reminds us that God promises to meet us there.
This beautiful song, Jesus Will Meet You There (link to the left) was written by Mary Beth's husband, Steven Curtis Chapman.
My thanks to #EllensPicks for this wonderful book. If you're looking for some good company with honest conversation, Choosing to See is a perfect read.
